PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION OF PARAXYLENE

A feedstream comprising C8 aromatic hydrocarbons is processed as follows: at least a portion of the paraxylene is recovered and the resulting stream, depleted in paraxylene, is passed through a molecular sieve membrane, producing a permeate enriched in paraxylene.
