Zusammenfassung:	A system for supporting a light fixture in an aperture formed in planar member having a certain thickness is disclosed. The system comprises a light fixture support structure including a perimeter member having a wall portion and a lip portion protruding outwardly from the wall portion and a retainer operatively secured to the planar member for engaging the upper surface of the planar member and for retaining the light fixture support structure in positioning the planar member. The retainer comprises a clamp for clamping the planar member between the lip portion of the planer member and the retainer.
