SEPARATION OF HEMOGLOBIN ON HYDROXYAPATITE USING HPLC

A method for producing a stable polymerized hemoglobin blood-substitute from blood. The method of this invention includes contacting a polymerized hemoglobin solution with a hydroxyapatite HPLC colu mn and recovering with substantially pure polymerized hemoglobin.
