Zusammenfassung:Compositions and methods for inhibiting vinyl aromatic monomer polymerizatio n during processing are disclosed. The compositions are combinations of a benzoquinone derivative and a hydroxylamine compound a nd are added to the monomer during processing. The preferred composition is t-butylbenzoquinone or N,N-dimethylindoaniline and bis(hydroxypropyl)hydroxylamine in a weight ratio ranging from 1:9 to 9:1.
