Zusammenfassung:	The press section of a paper machine dewaters a watery fibrous pulp sheet which is guided along with a continuous circulating felt belt through two sequentially-arranged press openings. The felt belt is dried by a conditioning device positioned between the two press openings, and the felt belt is again dried with the aid of another conditioning device after it exits the second press opening but before it returns to the first press opening. By quickly separating the felt belt from the watery fibrous pulp sheet after they pass through the press openings, reverse moistening of the felt belt is effectively prevented. A smooth, soft press belt preferably guides the fibrous pulp sheet between the two press openings.
