EASY GLIDE HANGER FOR LIFT TRUCK FORK

This invention relates to a hanger to be used on the fork of a material handling vehicle, particularly a lift truck. Hangers welded onto the shank of lift truck forks engage on carriage bars mounted on the carriage of the material handling vehicle. In order to facilitate lateral sliding of the fork and hanger along the carriage bar to adjust the location of the fork on the lift truck vehicle, the hanger has special configuration. The surfaces of the hanger which engage a support surface of the carriage bar have lateral edges. The lateral edges are relieved. The relieved portion eliminates a sharp corner which might otherwise dig into the carrige bar during lateral movement and also assists in directing any lubricant on the carriage bar under the engaging surface rather than scrapping the lubricant off.
