Zusammenfassung:	A tread for WINTER tires consists of elastomeric material extending in a circumferential direction around the axis of rotation of the tire. The tread includes several grooves which extend circumferentially and a multitude of grooves which extend laterally between a pair of shoulders, delimiting elastomeric blocks. The elastomeric blocks include sipes delimiting two opposing surfaces within the blocks. The sipes may define a portion of a cylindrical surface over at least part of their radial and lateral area.
