Zusammenfassung:	Disclosed are synthetic oligonucleotides having a nucleotide sequence complementary to at least a portion of the multi-drug resistant-1 gene, or transcripts thereof, which portion encodes a nucleoside binding site. Also disclosed is a pharmaceutical formulation containing such oligonucleotides, and methods of treating multidrug resistant cancer cells, of preventing the expression of P170 in a cell, and of preventing the induction of multidrug resistance in a cancer cell.
