The catalyst contains a compound for promoting dehydrogena tion and increasing Lewis acidity is effectively added. This catalyst can be included in an inorganic oxide matrix and used as a cracking catalyst. Preferably, the comp ound for promoting dehydrogenation and increasing Lewis acidity is effectively added to a non- framework portion of the crystalline microporous oxide. More preferably, the compound for promoting dehydrogenation and increasing Lewis acidity is a volatile mul tivalent metal compound. |
