Zusammenfassung: | The present invention relates to a non-mandrel method of manufacturing a flexible, kink- resistant hose capable of regaining an original shape after crushing. This process comprises the extruding of a continuous length of an uncured elastomeric tube provided with an adhesive layer and formation of a hose reinforcement layer or jacket around this elastomeric tube. The jacket comprises a tubular sleeve formed by means of a warp yarn running in the longitudinal direction of the tubular sleeve and a weft yarn running in the transverse direction of the tubular sleeve. The weft yarn is interwoven with the warp yarn, and it comprises a combination of a multi-filament weft yarn alternating with a mono-filament weft yarn. The mono-filament weft yarn is characterized by being of extreme stiffness and rigidity, which enables the hose to retain its round shape by resisting collapsing and crushing. |
