Zusammenfassung:	Novel macrolides and the use thereof Abstact Compounds of the formula (I), wherein R1 is hydroxy, 2-hydroxyethoxy, C1-C4alkoxy, C1-C4alkanoyloxy, halogen, amino, azido, a keto, p-nitrobenzenesulfonyl or a pyranyloxy group of the formula wherein X is a group of the formula or wherein R3 is hydroxy, C1-C4alkanoyloxy or organic sulfonyloxy, and R4 is hydroxy or carbamoyloxy, R2 is hydrogen, hydroperoxy, hydroxy or methoxy, Y is a group of the formula or wherein R5 is hydroxy or C1-C4alkanoyloxy, and R6 and R7 each independenly of the other is hydrogen or methyl, are suitable for the preparation of a medicament for the prophylaxis and treatment of diseases that respond to the inhibition of the osteoclast proton pump.
