Zusammenfassung:	A process for repairing a cylinder of a printing machine while the cylinder remains installed in the printing machine is disclosed and comprises the steps of: installing a cross slide rail in the printing machine parallel to the cylinder to be repaired; removing a cylinder jacket to a base diameter with a tool mounted on the cross slide rail; degreasing the cylinder surface; blasting the cylinder surface; preheating the cylinder surface; applying a thermal spray coating to the cylinder surface; polishing the coating; and sealing the coating.
