Zusammenfassung: | Animal feed additives based on fermentation broth contain other fermentation broth ingredients in addition to the additive. After spray drying, such products generally have an inadequate apparent density and/or are tacky. Accordingly, auxiliaries such as for example, perlite or sawdust are added for pelletizing of the products. Alternatively, the products are freed from water by azeotropic distillation with paraffin oil to form pellets. The problem addressed by the invention was to provide a highly concentrated animal feed additive which, in particular, was to have an apparent density of at least 550 kg/m3 and a standardizable active-substance content. Stable pellets can be produced by pelletizing from a fermentation broth containing an animal feed additive when at least 33% by weight of the fermentation products are present. The pellets can be produced particularly effectively by pelletizing providing they are built up from at least 30% by weight of fine particles of which at least 70% by weight are smaller than 100 .mu.size. The biomass may be completely present, partly present or not present at all in the pellets. Animal feed additives, such as lysine, threonine or tryptophane, all containing fermentation broth products. |
