Zusammenfassung:A process for producing an azacycloalkane derivative represented by the following general formula (I1): wherein m is an integer of from 1 to 3, n2 is an integer of from 2 to 10, and R represents an alkyl group having 3 to 12 carbon atoms, characterized by reacting a 1-(n-alkenyl)- azacycloalkan-2-one represented by the following general formula (I): wherein m is an integer of from 1 to 3, and n1 is an integer of from 0 to 8, -34- with an alkyl mercaptan in the presence of a radical initiator in an organic solvent, treating the reaction mixture thus obtained with a reducing agent in a water-containing organic solvent, and then purifying the treated mixture by distillation.
