Zusammenfassung:	An adsorber device for collecting diffusible ions in a liquid medium. The adsorber device includes an ion exchange "sink" comprising a hollow, spherical capsule filled with an ion exchange material or other adsorber. Further, the present invention includes a process for analyzing a test medium which includes scattering multiple adsorber devices throughout the test medium; recovering the devices after a predetermined amount of time; and leaching the accumulated solutes from the adsorber material to provide an extract solution which can then be analyzed by various procedures to determine quantities of accumulated solutes.
