Zusammenfassung: | A transmitter which can be easily used with a plurality of electronically operated vehicle security systems is disclosed. The transmitter includes one or more manually operable buttons which are selectively depressed by an operator. The transmitter further includes a microprocessor which counts the number of times the button is depressed within a predetermined time period. In response thereto, the microprocessor generates a unique digitally coded signal to the security system. Thus, a plurality of different signals may be generated by manipulating only a single button on the transmitter. these signals may be used to control a plurality of functions within a single security system, or may be used to control a plurality of separate security systems located in different vehicles. Each transmitter has a unique identification code which is transmitted with each signal generated therefrom. The security system can be programmed quickly and easily to accept or reject signals from one or more of these transmitters. |
