The copyholder contains a flat surface and a multi-action document holder which pivots between a horizontal position when in use, and a vertical position when not in use. The document holder pivots by a spring loaded mechanism, which locks it into the vertical and horizontal positions. The spring loaded mechanism also allows the document holder to expand and accept thick documents. The document holder also functions as a lineguide.
