Zusammenfassung:	A low air loss bed is described having means for simultaneously controlling the supply and exhaust valves of individual bed sections. Air supplied from a blower to a valve assembly which comprises an inlet valve and an exhaust valve, the inlet valve being linked to the exhaust valve so that opening of the inlet valve is automatically accompanied by a corresponding degree of closure of the exhaust valve and vice-versa.
