MOLDED CASE CIRCUIT BREAKER EXHAUST BARRIER

An exhaust gas barrier is arranged within the line terminal compartments of molded case circuit breakers of dissimilar design that are double-branch-connected within electric power distribution panelboards to pre- vent the occurrence of inter-phasal faults. The exhaust gas barrier incorporates three line terminal plugs that are interconnected by means of a three-way flexible rib. Box-like projections integrally-formed within the exhaust gas barrier extend into the line lug compartments of an opposing circuit breaker sharing the same branch strap connections. The box-like projec- tions are removable to facilitate double-branch connec- tion between two circuit breakers of similar design.
