Zusammenfassung:	Under study were the method of preparation of coated cellulose fibers using one or mixtures of thermoplastics (e.g. polyvinyl chloride, linear low density polyethylene, medium density polyethylene, high density polyethylene and polystyrene), coupling agent (e.g. phthalic anhydride or isocyanate), and/or Na-silicate. The composites thus prepared from coated fibers and polystyrene possess improved mechanical properties.
