Zusammenfassung:	16 PROCESS FOR PREPARING BASIC ALUMINUM COMPOUNDS The present invention relates to a process for preparing basic aluminum compounds having the general formula (1) ¢A12 (OH)x Cly (SO4)z!n (1) where: n is at least equal to 1 x = 2 ? 4.0 y = 2.0 ? 3.40 z = 0 ? 0.30 and x + y + z = 6 by means of a reaction of alumina with hydrochloric acid, possibly mixed with sulfuric acid. The alumina is caused to react in alumina/acid(s) stoichiometric conditions to obtain the compounds of formula (1). The reaction is carried out by milling alumina in liquid phase under heavy stirring.
