| Zusammenfassung: | The device is employed in connection with armour-piercing projectiles so as to improve penetration into armour. A slender, firmly anchored core of a hard material (2) is inserted under the penetration conditions into the centre of the subcalibre penetration body (1), the core forming, during penetration into armour plating, a tip in the nose of the gradually deformed and spent projectile.
