GAS-BLAST ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT BREAKER

One pole of an electrical puffer-type circuit-breaker comprises a transverse partition (34) made of an injected insulating plastic which simultaneously provides for the guiding of the moving contact rod which passes through it. The injected plastic part carries an O-ring providing the sealing with the surround (10) and a one-way shutter for closing off through-orifices which is made in the transverse partition. The puffer piston integral with the moving contact rod (32) is also made of an injected plastic and it includes means for housing and snap-fitting the puffer nozzle (38) fixedly to the piston (36). A scraper seal (58) in the shape of a split segment is housed in a circumferential groove made in the injected part (40) of the piston (36). … Electrical connection between the moving contact rod (26) and a current-intake insert (18) is effected by a braid extending in the shape of a semi-loop in a plane transverse to the pole. ……
