Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:	An automatic tape applicator for the application of both front and rear "L"clips of adhesive tape to a container which includes a pivotable applicator arm for initiating the application of adhesive tape to a container moving relative to the applicator, a cutting blade for cutting the tape into "L" clip segments, an arm actuator for pivoting the applicator arm between an application position and a cutting position, and a tensioning actuator for breaking the withdrawal of tape through the applicator when the application arm is pivoted to the cutting position so as to increase the tension of the tape over the cutting blade. The applicator includes position sensors for sensing the position of the container and actuating the arm actuator and the tension actuator at the appropriate times.
