Zusammenfassung:	Pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet material having the ability to be applied to paper and removed therefrom without lifting fibers or delaminating the paper. The otherwise conventional pressuresensitive adhesive is applied to the backing in a pattern of dots, lines or other islands of adhesive in which the size of the islands and their spacing on the backing is carefully controlled. The islands are on the order of 0.01-0.15 mm thick, have at least one other dimension no greater than about 1.5 mm, and occupy about 10-90% of the adhesive-coated area.
