Zusammenfassung:CLONING OF THE GENE CODING THE ISOAMYLASE ENZYME AND ITS USE IN THE PRODUCTION OF SAID ENZYME OR THE LIKE A fragment of DNA obtained from a bacterium of the genus Pseudomonas containing the coding gene for the isoamylase enzyme is novel. Also novel are replicable recombinant DNA molecules for expression in host microorganisms containing the aforementioned DNA fragment or coding regions thereof for mature isoamylase or for a polypeptide having biological activity equivalent to that of isoamylase. Also novel are host micro-organisms transformed by the aforementioned molecules of recombinant DNA capable of expressing and/or secreting the mature isoamylase enzyme or a polypeptide having a biological activity equivalent to that of isoamylase. The resulting isoamylase is specified in terms of amino acid sequence, structure and biological activity.
