Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a lock for the hand brake lever of a motor vehicle having a sleeve mounted on the hand brake lever, a release member movable therein to contact a push button of the hand brake lever, and locking device capable of preventing movement of the release member in the locked condition. The inventive improvement is that the release member (4) is associated with a mechanism which arrests the unlocked condition of the locking device (8) after release of the hand brake and prevents shifting from this condition.
