Zusammenfassung:	SHEAVE-CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY A fair-lead sheave and connector for attaching a wire rope to a chain and training it over the fair-lead sheave for vessels such as an offshore semi-submersible drilling platform is disclosed. The sheave is of the general wire rope sheave design with the side walls of the sheave extended to support the connector and chain. The sheave includes a groove which is adapted to engage with the connector along substantially the entire length of the connector's outer wall. The shape of the sheave's groove and the connector's outer wall are designed to provide this engagement which minimizes the wear of both elements.
