PHOSPHORUS MODIFIED MAGNESIUM SILICATE

Porous crystalline magnesium silicates modified by addition of phosphorus in an amount from about 0.25 percent to about 30 percent by weight are disclosed. The new silicates are useful in alkylating aromatic hydrocarbons.
