Zusammenfassung:A process for separating and purifying metals of the platinum group from base metals in aqueous acid solutions is described. For this purpose a substituted thiourea having the general formula R1R2N-CS-NH-COR3: or R1R2N-CS-NH-COOR3 is used as the precipitant N,N-dialkyl-N'-benzoyl thioureas, wherein R1 and R2 represent methyl, n-butyl or n-hexyl groups, are preferably used.
