The mounting assembly is to be secured to the sharpening machine and includes an elongated open framework defining a skate receiving area and skate clamping means are mounted on the assembly and consist of a pair of jaws being located opposite one another with at least one of the jaws being movable toward and away from the gap and the other jaw.
