Zusammenfassung:The present invention concerns new (R)-, (S)- and (R,S)1-(4'-alkylamido)-2'-{1-¢N-(alkyl)imino!ethyl}phenoxy-3-al-kylamino-2-propanols having the general formula IX wherein R means a straight or branched C1 - C4-alkyl group, especially the n-propyl group, and R1 means hydrogen or a straight or branched C1 - C4-alkyl group, especially the isopropyl group, which compounds are useful intermediates when preparing the pharmacologically active (R)-, (S)- and (R,S)-1-(4'-alkylamido-2'-acetyl)phenoxy-3-alkylamino-2-pro-panols of the formula I wherein R and R1 have the meaning given above.
