Zusammenfassung:	An easy opening closure system comprising a container end portion having an opening and a scored portion adjacent the opening which can be pulled back away from the opening to enlarge the opening by means of an exterior tape which is circumjacent the opening and adhered firmly to the scored portion. An interior tape covers the underside of the opening. Employment of an optional reinforcing member facilitates the bending of the scored portion away from the opening. The closure system is particularly useful for packaging carbonated beverages.
