Zusammenfassung:	Aqueous thermosetting coating compositions are described which are based upon a water-soluble or waterdispersible crosslinkable film-forming polymer, an amino resin crosslinking agent and a water-soluble hydroxy-amido compound, e.g. N,N,N',N'-tetrakis (.beta.-hydroxyethyl) adipamide. The compositions are of high solids content and give films having improved properties as compared to those from compositions not containing the hydroxy-amido compound.
