Zusammenfassung:A uniformly drafted tow for use in the production of a fasciated yarn and a process for making same. The tow is prepared from a tow material selected from the group consisting of undrawn tow and partially drawn tow, drawn under such conditions that the drawing points of all filaments of the tow are substantially disposed in a straight line having a narrow width of not greater than about 3 mm. The process for making such tow includes a step which comprises drawing the tow under such conditions that the drawing points of all the filaments of the tow are substantially disposed in a straight line having a narrow width.
