CUTTING PICKS

"Improvements Relating To Cutting Picks" The present specification discloses a cutting pick for use in cutting apparatus for cutting through various ypes of terrain. Particularly the present invention relates to a pick which can be detachably mounted in, for example, a cutter wheel. The pick of the present invention has one cutting tip exposed ready for use on a leading edge of the pick body and one or more additional cutting tips also located in the leading edge though spaced from said one cutting tip and each other. Preferably these additional cutting tips are protected by a layer of material softer than the tips. Thus as said one cutting tip is worn away, the pick body wears away to expose the next tip, so extending the pick life as compared to known picks.
