Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to new 1-substituted-3-cycloalkyl-sulfonyl-pyrrolidine-2,5-dione compounds of formula I (I) A stands for C5-10 cycloalkyl, R represents hydrogen, C1-6 alkyl, phenyl optionally substituted by one or more C1-4 alkyl, nitro, hydroxy, carboxy, aminosulfonyl, sulfo, halogen, C1-4 alkoxy, C1-4 acyloxy, C2-5 alkoxycarbonyl, C1-4 acyl, or N-(C2-5 alkoxycarbonyl)- aminosulfonyl, or phenyl-(C1-4 alkyl). The invention also relates to a process for preparing the compounds. The compounds possess strong fungicidal activity and are useful for combatting human, veterinary and phytopathological fungi.
