Zusammenfassung:PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF FUEL AND NUTRIENTS FROM WASTES The organic portion of waste is converted into two major products, viz., a fuel such as that usable in internal- and external- combustion engines plus a residue nutrient suitable for plant- and animal- feed, with an ancillary amount of purified and optionally distilled water, by the process which comprises the steps of hydrolysis of the hydrolyzable portion of the waste by the use of sulfurous acid solutions, with concommitant saccharification, followed by fermentation, and separation, usually by distillation, of the volatile fuel components and simultaneous or subsequent concentration of the residual nutrient material.
