Zusammenfassung:Disclosure is made of a thermal-mining method of oil production, according to which a plurality of underground workings are provided as well as at least one injection gallery and one production gallery. Injection wells are driven from the injection gallery and production wells from the production gallery. Then, the heat carrier is force-fed to the oil-bearing bed via injection wells for heating the oil-bearing bed to a temperature at which oil assumes the required fluidity in the bed, and for forcing oil from the oil-bearing bed to the production wells. Prior to feeding the heat carrier into the bed, the injection gallery is filled with an insulating medium serving to preclude the breakthrough of heat carrier to the gallery from the bed. After that, oil from the production wells is withdrawn to the production gallery from which it is supplied to the surface via injection workings.
