Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:a low alloy, high strength steel well casing exhibiting excellent resistence to hydrogen sulfide stress corrosion and high yield strength of from 90,000 to 145,000 psi comprised of an aluminum-killed steel alloyed with chromium, molybdenum and vanadium. A method of making such a steel including a quench and temper heat treatment characterized by the steps of austenitizing in the range of from 1550 to 1700.degree.F, quenching to martensite, and tempering in the range of from 1200 to 1400.degree.F to a maximum hardness of 35RC.
