Zusammenfassung:Novel N-(2-Chloro-4-pyridyl)ureas or -thioureas represented by formula (I) wherein R1 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group of 1 to 4 carbon atoms such as methyl, ethyl, propyl, and butyl, R2 represents a phenyl group, which may be substituted by an alkyl group of 1 to 3 carbon atoms, an alkoxyl group of 1 to 3 carbon atoms, or halogen atom, and X is an oxygen or sulfur atom and acid addition salts thereof, useful as plant growth regulator are disclosed. Method of making same and agricultural compositions thereof are also disclosed.
