Zusammenfassung:TITLE PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING PIPERAZINYL ACYLHYDROXAMIC ACID DERIVATIVES INVENTORS Ronald T. Coutts David F. Biggs Frank W. Wandelmaier Frank D. Semaka Compounds of the following general formula have been found to have biological activity and are useful in pharmaceutical compositions: I where m = 0, 1 or 2 R = alkylene straight or branched chain of up to 3 carbon atoms, and X when present is a salt-forming acid. Typical compounds are 2-methyl-3-{1-(4-phenyl) piperazinyl} propionohydroxamic acid monohydrochloride and {1-(4-phenethyl) piperazinyl} acetohydroxamic acid dihydrochloride. These compounds have been found to have at least one of antiinflammatory, anti-anaphylactic and anti-depressant activity.
