DEVICE FOR RELOADING, AUTOMATICALLY AND WITHOUT STOPPING THE MACHINE, THE YARN CONVEYORS OF CONTINUOUS LOOMS

In a continuous textile loom of the kind in which the weft threads are fed to the weaving shed by conveyors which travel in a closed loop, a device for automatically reloading the conveyors with yarnladen pirns is disclosed which comprises the combination of a creel mounted fixedly on the loom, a starshaped rotary dispenser for said pirns inserted between said creel and said conveyor, a cam and follower mechanism for commanding the conveyance of a full pirn from the creel to the conveyor whenever a sensor signals the presence of an empty pirn on said conveyor, and a signalling device for detecting the instant at which the yarn charge of a pirn is approaching exhaustion. The device is operative without necessity of stopping the loom for replacing the weft-thread pirns.
