Also included in the invention are 1-N-acylated-derivatives, such as 1-N-formyl-sisomicin, useful because of the anti-bacterial effects (and methods for their procurement). The invention includes, furthermore, methods for the procurement of said 1-N-acylated or sulphenylated derivatives, compositions containing them and methods for their use.
