1477267 Soft toys, dolls, &c MATTEL Inc 9 Oct 1975 [30 Dec 1974] 41400/75 Heading A6S A soft toy animal, &c., shown as a doll 10, comprises a soft polymeric filling, &c. within a plush, &c. covering and contains several reed-type sound producers each emitting a different sound and each associated with its own indicator marking which identifies the particular sound. In the doll shown, the reedtype sound producers 28, 30, 32, 34 36 are mounted in the legs, arms and body, and are tuned to emit different notes. Different coloured indicators 48, 50, 52, 54, 56 are associated with each sound producer. Each sound producer includes an air chamber 40, Fig. 4, filled with polymeric filler enclosed within an impervious flexible covering 42 and connected with a sounding reed 46. The chamber 40 is squeezed to make the reed 46 sound. A stave 60 bearing coloured indicator notes corresponding to the colours of the indicators 48, &c enables a tune to be played on the sound producers 28, &c. As an alternative, an instruction book indicating the sequence in which the sound producers 28, &c. are to be operated may be provided. The sound producers may be so constructed that each gives a different vowel sound.
