Zusammenfassung:	1416499 Sulphur - containing polyesters EASTMAN-KODAK CO 22 Feb 1973 [29 Feb 1972] 8739/73 Heading C3R [Also in Division G2] A linear sulphur-containing polyester is derived from (a) an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid, which may contain thio linkages, or an esterforming derivative thereof, (b) a thio-alkylene glycol and (c) either a diol containing an aryl group or a dicarboxylic acid containing an oxyphenyl-oxy group or an ester-forming derivative thereof. The examples describe polyesters prepared from the following compounds:-as reactant (a) succinic anhydride, diethyl succinate, glutanic anhydride or 3,31-thiodipropionic acid; as reactant (b) thiodiethanol, 3,11-dithia-7- oxatridecan - 1,13 - diol or 3,6 - dithiaoctan- 1,8-diol; and as reactant (e) α,α1-bis-(2- hydroxyethylthio) - p - xylene, 1,4 - benzenedimethanol, 2,21- (benzylimino) diethanol or diethyl-(p-phenylene-dioxy) diacetate.
