1455866 Building constructed from room units: partitions INDUSTRIALISED BUILDING SYSTEMS Ltd 15 Nov 1973 [22 Nov 1972] 53109/73 Headings E1A and E1W A building is assembled from room units, each unit being of a size such that the central plane of each wall contains a grid line of an imaginary horizontal modular grid and further so that the central plane of any wall dividing adjacent room units (e.g. the wall shown dashed in Figure 26) contains the centre line of the join between the room units. Wall panels 43 are connected to roof or floor panels 13 by means of plates 39 which may be fixed as shown or fixed by three screws screwed directly into the panel 13. Adjacent roof or floor panels may be interconnected by the bolt 68 and rod 67 arrangement of Figure 26, removable discs 70 providing access to the bolt. Adjacent partition walls 43 are interconnected by a collar 93 engaged over brackets 92 on the panel edges. Cover plates 90, 91 are provided. The roof and floor panels are double skimmed and are separated by a gridtype of reinforcement, Figure 3 (not shown). The wall panels are also double-skinned with a core of e.g. fibre-board. Details are given of the mode of selecting the dimensions of the panels so as to ensure the modular arrangement of the walls, Figs. 34 - 38 (not shown).
