The present invention provides novel tetrahydrocarbazole derivatives according to formula (I) as ligands of G-protein coupled receptors (GPCR). The compounds of the invention are useful in the treatment and/or prophylaxis of physiological and/or pathological conditions in mammals, preferably humans, which are mediated by GPCR or of physiological and/or pathological conditions which can be treated by modulation of these receptors.
