Both peeling stages have flat sifters (4), and all the separation units are connected to a central aspiration unit (5). From the primary peeling stage, a fraction of unpeeled seeds, a core fraction, a large and a small peel fraction together with a mixed fraction are obtd. The unpeeled seed is fed to the secondary peeling operation in which a large and a small core fraction, a large and a small mixed fraction, and a large and a small peel fraction are obtd.
