Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To obtain a high performance method and device by which the polishability of a tire tread compound at both high and low polish severity levels. CONSTITUTION: A polishing device is provided with a plurality of test stations 14, a driving module 16 connected to the stations 14, and a grindstone 20 sample wheel 24 which is driven in a rotatable state by means of the module 16. The device is also provided with a powder transferring wheel which can be engaged with the wheel 24 and a choke member which can be engaged with the powder transferring wheel. The module 16 has a gear assembly which changes the speed of the sample wheel 24 in connection with the speed of the grindstone 20 so as to adjust the slip value, accordingly, the polishing degree of the wheel 24.
